Třinec Ironworks, coke oven batteries

The implementation of orders for heavy industry is another important area of ROSS applications. In cooperation with Siemens and Trinec Engineering, the expansion and modernization of coke battery No.12 is currently under execution in the second largest steel company in Třinec Ironworks in the Czech Republic.

The main task of the project is to construct new coke ramps, upgrade crude sorting centers and fine sorting centers, including many of the connection bridges in which the coke flows from the coking plant directly into steel production across the large TRZ complex.

Very important during the project realization is the specific environment of the coking plant  - a monumental iron construction, the requirements for maximum reliability, high dust, high content of slag in the soil, modern management from a central center. A clear challenge for the implementers of the contract was to meet extreme deadlines and construction terms while preserving all the strict environmental regulations. Thanks to the best efforts of the whole Industry Division and Energy team and  excellent cooperation with Siemens and Třinec Engineering,  the coke dock  was able to be put into service five days before the scheduled completion, which was highly appreciated by Třinec Ironworks management, considering the extra millions in costs spent daily on alternative transportation to get the coke to production.
.
In August and September, the finishing of the coarse and fine coke centers will take place, where they will work against the original plans to modernize the wiring during operation, which will require specific technical solutions.
