Nová Karolína – new project in Ostrava

ROSS starts to carry out electro installation works on new, significant project – shopping centre Nová Karolína in Ostrava. The delivery includes both heavy and weak-current supply, high voltage and standby supply installation in the total scale of CZK 111 millions. Currently the drawings are getting ready, the construction work itself is planned to begin in September 2010.

Project Nová Karolína is one of the most important construction sites in Ostrava nowadays. The shopping and leisure centre will occupy total area of 170 x 170 metres and will consist of 14 „cubes“ of different dimensions that will be connected and at a height of 22 metres will be arched with a glass roof.

The centre offers a total area of 55.000 m2  in 4 floors to be rented for cca 250 shops. In the basement there will be 1.150 parking spaces created in two levels. One part of the first basement floor will be occupied with a supermarket. The third overground floor is designed for leisure and gastronomy purposes – spacious food court to serve 300 – 350 visitors at two restaurants with a capacity of 200 spaces each will be located here. Also a cinema is to be placed  here occupying 3.500 m2. The fourth floor is designed for a fitness centre.
